What is currently going on in my life?! You ask. [At this point I assume ‘you’ is me in the year 2026].
Since Spring Break, I have pretty much been in full VICS mode. For the last two weeks I have constantly been filling spreadsheets, sorting supplies and merchandise, and doing other logistical nonsense. (Although, to be fair, I actually kind of enjoy it. In fact, I think I want to be VICS USG of Logistics next year so that I can improve on my performance and efficiency.) March also tends to be the most chaotic month, academically, of the spring semester. In addition, I’m applying to the Distinguished Major’s Program in History, and am interviewing tomorrow to be a docent at the Fralin Museum of Art. So a lot going on.
In a way, I’m kind of glad I’m so busy; it’s keeping me from wallowing away in my own emptiness. I had a fallout with a friend after getting back from New York, and this time really felt like the last straw in the stack (more because of how they handled the fight). We haven’t really spoken since. I know the distance is good for me; and I know that they probably don’t even think about it that much. But I miss them a lot.
